Everything but the kitchen sink challenge

I am so glad that I have found so many great blogs, they are not only inspirational but I am always finding a NEW challenge!! I love doing a challenge or two a week, maybe that sounds a little much but I have become a little obsessed with card making. I guess as a SAHM I need something to work my brain and a challenge sure does that for me! Anyway today I stumbled across a neat new challenge "EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK CHALLENGE" !! You should really check it out!

The deets of the challenge this month were to use something from the mail as part of your card or scrapbook page! I knew this would be a challenge for me, but I love a challenge!! I was super excited to get my mail today, but when it came it was only coupons and advertisements for hardware stores! I was bummed, but decided to take a second look at them and found this:
Here is my card. I used a paper studio pre-folded card, PTI bitty dot paper pti dark chocolate cardstock, bazzill yellow, colorbox brown, fiskars threading water punch and of course my mail. I know the arrangement is maybe a little off, but it is a lot better than I thought it would be! Hope you enjoy and give the challenge a try!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #17

Wow, I can't say how excited I am for this challenge!! I love these colors and the moment I saw the picture that goes with it I thought of a sketch in my head! My son was very content playing with his toys this morning so I went right to work!
I attempted to recreate the look of the fabric in the picture because it is so beautiful! I used a KI memories stamp set called Baby Time! I must mention I got this stamp set for $1.50 about a year ago!! woot woot! Anyway back to the card, I had just looked at Dawn's distressing flower post and thought it would be perfect for this card. I used all papertrey papers for this little project, along with a basic grey button, and random jewelry string to tie in the button.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Moxie Fab Gradient is Radiant

Well, I am super excited to be sharing my card for the Moxie Fab Gradient is Radiant challenge! I think that this is such a neat challenge and there are so many great examples from other wonderful crafters so it wasn't hard to get inspired! Lately my favorite color has been green, everywhere I look I see something beautiful in green! So that is where the idea for my card came from. Yesterday as my son was playing I snapped a cute picture of him that had wonderful colors of green, so I used that as my example of greens I wanted to use.

I started brainstorming what stuff I could use for a awesome card. I looked through my equipment and saw my fiskars brick punch I bought months ago for like $4. I decided that I would use it for my greens to make little tiles! I also decided to do a Clean and Simple card, which is hard for me, because I am the type of person who makes everything complicated! So anyway to make a long story short here is my card! I kind of like it!! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by,
Hollie

Baby Shower card

I just love baby shower cards and I just happen to have a baby shower this coming weekend! I made this little card today, but I am not quite sure if I am going to use it or not. If I don't I would have a reason to make another one. I bought this stamp set a while ago at Michaels, and misplaced the original container so I am unsure who made the set. It is really cute though!

Well, I have the fall bug again! I already want to decorate with pumpkins and fall flowers! Ok, now to my card! When I saw the colors for Dawn's Color Challenge this week I knew I had to use my Vintage Picnic Stamps because it has the cute little pumpkins!

I really enjoyed this challenge (love the colors) and I really enjoy the time I get to spend with my stamping! As a SAHM I have enjoyed finding something that I can do for myself, so when I found these online challenges I was super excited! Thanks so much for stopping by, I enjoy your comments so much!

Cards with my new Papertrey stamps!

So I have went a little papertrey happy lately and have bought three stamp sets in the last 2 months! Who could blame me though, they are awesome! Anyway I have been working like crazy making a ton of cards! I haven't posted in a while so I have a lot of cards to share with you! Hope you enjoy and also come back later for my Raspberry Suite Color Challenge post. This first card is one of my favorites. I saw something similar on a Hallmark card and decide to try the look! I don't have a polka dot stamp yet, I just have one individual dot! LOL! So I hand stamped the dots myself, because I was desperate for that look! I also drew the dress by hand and cut it out with a vellum sheet and white cardstock behind the vellum! I still can't decide if I am going to write something on the card or not. Let me know what you think! I was thinking something like "For the Bride", because it is for a bridal shower.

This card didn't quite turn out the way I played, but I like the basic design so I decided to post it anyway.

This was a rather simple card, and I got to use some of my scrap paper that is quickly piling up!

I made this card for a color challenge, but didn't get it posted in time. I was going for a twist on a fall card by adding typical fall colors with some bright ones.

I really love this card! It started out completely different as far as designs go and then turned into this! That is kind of how I work, I sit down and have something in my head and then it goes the other direction completely. It usually works out for me in the long run!

I am still not sure what kind of card this should be, but I like it! As you may see I love the
Autumn Abundance set! In fact I think about using the set everyday! Another thing about this card is the fact that I used only scrap, even the ripe avocado ribbon, it just happened to be laying next to me when I was making this card.

My final card for this post is a sweet little card for someone special. This card is another design that started with something completely different in mind then turned out great! I started out with warm colors and all bitty dot paper and then it came out like this! I also added the embossed heart to the last square for something a little different!

I just have to leave you today with a picture of my little cutie! Last night as I was doing clothes he kept climbing in the basket! He is quite the ham, smiles every time I get the camera out!
