Fun with floss!

Over at the Moxie fab blog Cath is hosting a fun with floss challenge! I for sure had fun with floss on this one! I also wanted to challenge myself to use floss on a boy card (I have the most trouble brainstorming for those). My first thought was to pull out my Martha Stewart Transportation stamp set and pair it with the Hero Arts clouds background stamp. I love this stamp by the way I want to use it on almost every card!! My goal was to use the floss to make a row of clouds really pop off the card. I also used a french knot technique that I saw on Maile Belles blog .
Hope you enjoyed my card today, and don't forget to pop on over to Cath's blog for inspiration!

Just Because..

Not having the Internet drives me crazy! So I have been crazy for the last 1 1/2 weeks because my cable company decided to replace the line without warning! So here I am today finally adding a card. I really like simple cards, so for the card I am sharing with you today I kept it super simple. I used two 2 inch circles and then punched smaller circles out of the spring rain . I added some lemon tart butterflies that I punch with a Martha Stewart punch.

In other news I am so very excited about this months PTI release! I am sure you all have stopped by Nicole's blog and looked around at all their wonderful stuff! I am so very excited, how about you? I am most excited for the new Color Couture Embellishments, and you can check those out over at Dawn's Blog. I just know I will probably buy all of those!

Thanks for stopping by,

Embellish Color Challenge with Hearts!

If your interested in a fun Color Challenge you should hop on over to the Embellish Magazine Website! It is a very trendy fun site! When I first saw the above picture I immediately started brainstorming ideas for a card. I just love the picture collages for these challenges, lets just say it is very easy to get inspired!

For my card I used a stamp set from The Angel Company called "Love Doodles". My sister just happens to sell for this great company so I easily get my hands on their stuff. This set might have been discontinued I'm not for sure, but it is a favorite of mine. I also used Papertrey Ink's Fresh Alphabet, which is very handy to have around!

Well, thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoyed looking around!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #21

Well I am certainly rusty when it comes to writing a blog entry, it has been a while but I am glad I am back! Today I took some time to make a few cards for Dawn's new Challenge. The colors she choose were Lemon Tart, Dark Chocolate, vintage or rustic cream, and aqua mist.

I love all of these colors so much, but I had a hard time since I don't have a lot of vintage cream, actually I only have a small ink pad and the buttons.

Lately I have been over thinking, so today I I tried to keep it simple. I actually really like how my card turned out. I used a technique I saw on one or more of Kristina video's (for the flower).
Hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by!

PS I just saw that Kristina added a Color Inspiration, I am so excited to get started!!

Been a while!

My computer has been having some hiccups so I haven't been able to load pictures. I still have some pictures to go through so I might be back with some more later.

I had trouble deciding on what kind of Christmas card to make this year so I did a whole lot of different ones. The top two are a couple of cards I took pictures of before sending out.

I have been trying to keep up with online challenges but time is going by to fast! I can't believe it is almost Christmas. I have to find some time to wrap presents before one of our family Christmases this weekend, so I guess I better get to it!

Thanks for stopping by,
Hollie
