Papertrey Ink March 2014 Blog Hop

I'm popping in super fast to share my glossy card for this months blog hop.

Look at those bright a cheerful colors!  What great inspiration!

It was really hard to capture with the camera, but I die cut acrylic and added it to every other banner piece. I can't resist using those glossy enamel dots, so I added some of those as well.

"Hogs and Kisses" Card and a Banner Tutorial

Today, I have a really cute card to share that is so simple to make!  I recently purchased the "Farm Fresh" stamp set from PTI.  I have to say I am in love with this set!  The best part is that it's great for gender neutral cards, which is something I have always struggled with.

Everything on this card is from Papertrey Ink, so pretty easy to find.  I chose Melon Berry and Aqua Mist (2 favorite colors right now) and went to town.  Love how this turned out!   It was hard to capture in the picture, but I used Versamark Ink to create a farm background behind the pig.

Next up, a little banner project!  I am in love with banners, I see so many ideas on Pinterest and I just can 't help myself. (I am hoping to make one for the new babies nursery)  Today, I am sharing with you a banner that can be for all seasons!  While at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago I came across a Canvas Pendent Scrapbooking album by Maya Road.  There were six pages for $6!  I couldn't resist, because I knew I could stretch this for all season.

Right now I have it ready for FALL, but with Velcro it can be used year round!

I hot glued the Velcro pieces in the center of the banner, then added my embellishments.

These little round burlap circles were right next to the banners at Hobby Lobby.  So cute!!  I made the little jar embellishment with  the Dear Lizzy Jar Set.  As you can see everything is able to come off due to the Velcro   I only used 5 of the banners so I would have an odd number, but with different seasons you could always add more banners .

Here is the finished project hanging up on my window mirror.
Total Cost for this project was $8, of course I had paper and ink on hand.
Plus, don't forget Hobby Lobby coupons and save even more!

I must add that I made this window like 8 years ago. I found the idea in Better Homes and Gardens or something, the old fashion way, before Pinterest! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you enjoyed!

every day is a new opportunity....

Hello!!

I thought I would drop by the blogo today and share another birdy card.  I just love the new birdcage trend, don't you?!!  I was searching through Esty and came across this little picture...

Isn't it adorable?  So this was my inspiration for my card. This wall art is by Chuck E Byrd on Esty, and let me tell you there is a lot of inspiration over there!

Workout update:
I was thinking working out would be a little harder with my 2 year old working out with me, but it turns out he enjoys it a lot!  He really loves trying to copy the stretches and strength moves, which is super cute!  So far I do strength 4 days a week with cardio and then cardio 6 days a week.  This keeps me super busy, so by the time my hubby comes home I am ready to fall over! I guess it is good to be busy though!
Well I'm off to go grocery shopping, then later an early V-Day Date with the hubby! Have a happy Saturday!

Almost forgot to mention some exciting news!! I had two cards accepted for the upcoming Stamp It Mag by Papercrafts!! Super exciting and also a goal of mine for 2011!!!

Papertrey Ink - Favorites Contest

Nichole over at the Papertrey Ink Blog is having a HUGE contest to win over $700 in prizes!!  She is asking everyone to go through their Papertrey projects and post their favorite.  I have a ton of new stuff from Papertrey because of Christmas. So needless to say, I have a lot of cards.  I made the following card for a VERY good friend.  His wedding was in Colorado and we made a 10 hour trip with a one month old to get to his wedding.  I had just purchased the Love Birds set and it was perfect for the occasion. I just love these colors together!!  Before I go I must tell you that I am so in love with Papertrey dies! They make it so easy and I buy at least one die with every Papertrey purchase! hehehe

PTI Blog Hop

Hello guys,

Well, today I decided to play along with the PTI blog hop!  This month Nichole challenged everyone to use a new stamp or one that hasn't been used in a while to create a project.

I decided to use the On My Couch set, this was my VERY first stamp set I purchased from PTI and I absolutely love it, but I have so many new sets that this one kind of gets left out!

I stamped the little couch on some PTI felt and then cut it out. (Still don't have the die)

I tried to make the card a little more interesting by turning the American Crafts Pattern Paper, and putting the couch on a Martha Stewart doily. (Not to sure if I like the paper turned)

Moxie Fab Bright and Bold Challenge

OK finally getting some time to blog a little! I have been trying to get back into the swing of crafty, but little O and big brother keep me pretty busy.  Any hoot I decided I wanted to give a Moxie Fab Challenge a try. I choose the Bright and Bold colors because they weren't colors I would normally work with and hey it is a challenge right.

Well, unfortunately that is about all the time I have. Before I go though wanted to share a little post that really expresses how I feel about crafting. The post was on the Paper Crafts Connection yesterday and after reading it I was so excited to see other people love making cards, etc as much as I do!!
Have a GREAT day,
Hollie

We are just back from a 10 hour plus trip to Colorado for a friends wedding! So needless to say it is a pajama wearing, snuggling with blankets and hot cocoa sort of day!
Although there are tons of clothes to be washed and tons to be reorganized I wanted to pop in and share some cards made with a couple of new stamp sets from PTI (best Christmas presents ever). The first card is made with the Banner Builder Stamp set!! Love Love Love it!! Will probably be using it every chance I get!!
Next is a little card made for the lovely couple from the Colorado wedding!  This set is Love Birds by Dawn McVey also from PTI, but you probably know who she is! Such a fun set and great for upcoming V-Day!

Another Moxie Fab Challenge

Well, I am back again with another Moxie Fab challenge card!! I just love this fabbo challenge and I just happened to have a great stamp set that is perfect for it! Today she asked us to create a card, home decor, etc that incorporates some kind of household item as its focal point. I remembered this card I made a while ago and decided to enter it. I do plan on making another card for this same challenge, because I am in love with my little couches! If you are interested in this challenge hop on over the Moxie Fab World!
